Individual Therapy

Psychotherapy involves structured, one-on-one counseling between a trained mental health professional and an individual. For adults and adolescents, therapy is tailored to each person’s unique psychological, emotional, and social circumstances. During the initial sessions, therapists often conduct a clinical assessment to understand the client’s symptoms, history, and functioning. This assessment may involve interviews, psychological questionnaires, and diagnostic guidelines from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

Through this diagnostic process, therapists may identify or evaluate conditions such as:

  • Major depressive disorder

  • Generalized anxiety disorder

  • Post-traumatic stress disorder

  • Social anxiety disorder

  • Adjustment disorder

Based on the diagnostic findings, therapists develop a treatment plan that may include approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma-focused therapy, or other evidence-based interventions. Coun

seling aims to reduce symptoms such as persistent sadness, excessive worry, fear, or feelings of inadequacy while helping individuals develop coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and healthier patterns of thinking and behavior.

With consistent therapeutic support, many individuals are able to process past trauma, improve self-esteem, and build a stronger sense of identity and well-being. The collaborative counseling environment provides a safe and confidential space where clients can work toward living healthier, more authentic lives.
